Steven M. Cohen
Mr. Cohen has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of MacAndrews & Forbes since 2013. In 2011, he was Secretary to New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo during the first year of Governor Cuomo’s administration. Prior to that, Mr. Cohen served as Chief of Staff and Counselor to then-New York Attorney General Cuomo, holding both positions for the entire four years of Mr. Cuomo’s tenure as Attorney General. Mr. Cohen has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer in private practice and public service. He is a Trustee of New York University, Co-Chair of the Bronfman Center of NYU and a member of the Board of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation. Mr. Cohen also currently serves on the Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
